Getting here & parking
Is there parking?
Because of its location right in the Old Town, our hotel has no parking spaces of its own. However, there are two car parks in the immediate vicinity:
- P12: €5 discount per day for our guests, i.e. €15.50 per day instead of €20.50. Height limit only 1.80 m.
- P13: standard rate (no discount) €21 per day. Height limit only 1.90 m.
For vehicles taller than 1.90 m, P7 (height limit 2.15 m) or P10 (height limit 2.10 m) are suitable. These two car parks are a little further from the hotel, so please allow for the walk. At busy times, expect some waiting at P12 and P13.

Please don’t park in the Old Town: parking on all Old Town streets requires a residents’ permit, and the city often tows illegally parked cars straight away. That gets expensive quickly.
You can park your bikes safely in our back courtyard.
Can I stop in front of the hotel?
As the Kornmarkt is closed to cars, you can’t stop in front of the hotel. For quick loading and unloading, you can stop at Karlsplatz just around the corner. But note: parking is not allowed there!
How do I get to you by train and bus?
From Heidelberg main station (Hauptbahnhof), bus line 20 takes you to the “Rathaus/Bergbahn” stop. The stop is right on the Kornmarkt, just a few steps from our door. You can find current timetables at rnv.
Your stay
When is your reception open?
Our reception is open daily from 7 am to 6 pm. Outside these hours, you can use our self check-in around the clock.
When can I check in and check out?
- Check-in: from 2 pm on the day of arrival
- Check-out: by 11 am on the day of departure
- Our self check-in and check-out service is also available to you 24/7.
How does the automated check-in and check-out work?
You will receive all the information about your arrival by email beforehand. You open the front door and your room door digitally, and your key cards will already be waiting for you in your room.
Is early check-in or late check-out possible?
Just ask us. Depending on availability, we’ll try to make it possible for an extra charge.
When is breakfast served?
- Weekdays: 7 am – 10 am
- Weekends and public holidays: 8 am – 11 am
Breakfast can be added for €15 per person per night to any room category.
Is there Wi-Fi?
Yes, free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms.
Are you set up for children?
Families are very welcome. Our family rooms sleep 3–4 people, and some rooms can also be combined. We can provide a baby cot on request for a fee.
Is there a safe in the room?
Some of our rooms have a safe, but not all. If you’d like a safe, please let us know before you arrive so we can offer you a suitable room.
Is your hotel accessible?
Unfortunately our house is not barrier-free. The rooms can only be reached via a few steps. Please keep this in mind when booking.
Are pets allowed?
Much as we love animals, pets are unfortunately not allowed.
Can I smoke in my room?
No! All rooms are non-smoking.
Booking & cancellation
What is the cancellation policy?
- Up to three days before arrival: free cancellation
- Less than three days before arrival: 80% of the total price
- In case of no-show, 100% of the total price is charged. Following nights are cancelled.
